Who can use Radius T°?

Radius T° sensors are indicated for use on adults and children ages 5 and up. The sensors should not be used by people who experience allergic reactions to adhesive tape.

What is included in the Radius T° kit?

Each kit contains 3 continuous temperature sensors and Setup Instructions. Each sensor can be worn continuously for up to 8 days and is fully disposable after use. The Masimo Radius T° Mobile App is downloaded separately.

Does the system require a smartphone?

Yes, a smartphone equipped with Bluetooth® is necessary to use Radius T°.

Is the system compatible with my smartphone?

Radius T° is compatible with Android and iOS devices.

How do I download the Masimo Radius T° App?

Search for “Masimo Radius T” in the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android). The app will be available for download starting in late October.

Is the app available for tablets?

No, the Masimo Radius T° app is not available for tablets.

Does Radius T° require a Wi-Fi or cellular data connection?

Once the app is downloaded onto your smartphone, you do not need Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection. The wearable temperature sensor connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth.

How close does my phone need to be to the sensor?

The sensor must be within Bluetooth range of your phone to receive data. This distance can vary depending on the use environment, but can be up to 100 feet maximum distance with direct visual line of sight between the sensor and your phone.

Can I use my mobile phone to do other things while tracking someone’s temperature?

Yes, the app can run in the background and continue to receive data collected from the sensor. However, do not quit the app or your temperature session will disconnect.

Can I track the temperature of more than one person at a time?

The app can only be paired with one sensor at a time. If you pair your mobile phone to a new sensor, any active connection to another sensor will be lost.

Can two people track someone’s temperature at the same time?

No, only one app can be paired to the same sensor at the same time.

How long does the battery last?

Each sensor lasts for up to 8 days of continuous use. The light on the sensor will flash orange when the sensor battery is low. A flashing red light indicates the sensor battery is out of power and is no longer transmitting data.

Can I get the sensor wet?

The sensor is water resistant (IP24 rating) – it can be worn in the shower but should not be submerged.

How do I take the sensor off?

To remove the sensor, gently peel off the adhesive from the skin.

Can I reapply a sensor after wearing it?

Radius T° sensors are designed for removal and reapplication no more than one time over the life of the product. To re-apply: (1) Clean and dry the sensor application site. (2) Gently wipe the exposed sensor adhesive with an alcohol wipe and allow it to dry to restore the adhesive properties. (3) Follow the steps in the Apply Sensor section of your Setup Instructions. Each sensor should only be used on a single person.

How do I dispose of a sensor after I’ve used it?

Dispose of used Radius T° sensors in accordance with local laws for the disposal of products containing electronic components.

What do the different colored lights mean on my sensor?

The light on the sensor indicates battery status and whether it is paired with your phone:

What happens to my data?

We do not collect nor do we download the data collected by the mobile application, which includes data you enter manually and temperature data from the Radius T° sensor. Your data remains on your mobile device and is deleted if you delete the application.

What data is stored on my Radius Tº Sensor?

Your sensor stores historical temperature measurements which are communicated to the Masimo Radius T° app when your phone is in range with and connected to the sensor.

Does my Radius T° Sensor store any personal identifiable data?

No personally identifiable information (PII) is stored on the Radius T° Sensor. Any user profile information you enter is only saved on the phone within the Masimo Radius T° app and is never sent to the sensor, nor is that information shared with Masimo.
